I brought in my 2014 Accord V6 with aftermarket rear coilovers and asked Robbie’s to reinstall my OEM suspension and do a transmission fluid service. The work got done, but the pricing left me disappointed. I was charged nearly $900 for what amounted to 3.6 hours of labor and less than $80 in parts. That works out to over $200 per labor hour, which is dealership-level pricing, not something I expected from a local, cash-preferred shop. Labor for reinstalling rear suspension (no front work) was billed at 1.6 hours for $357.61, and the transmission service (basic drain and fill) at 2 hours for $397.34 — again, at inflated hourly rates. I also got charged for a transmission filter kit, which most 9th-gen Accords don’t even use unless the pan is dropped, which wasn’t clarified. Add on a nearly $50 “shop supplies” fee, and the total ballooned to $894.61. I wasn’t given a full estimate up front, and no labor rate was disclosed on the receipt — just totals. I understand that aftermarket parts can sometimes add complexity, but this felt more like a padded invoice than fair pricing. Wouldn’t recommend unless you get a full written quote beforehand. Job was completed, but I won’t be returning.
Andy, thankfully most people will use their discernment when comparing this review with the over 1000 amazing reviews before it and realize there is more to the story. This type of nonsense does not warrant the time or negative energy it would take to elaborate on the details.
